The STOP button will stop any recording or playing operations in progress. Actually, this button does nothing but stop data from coming from the remote server. Leaving Streamer in STOP for too long may disconnect you from the remote server, so pressing the PLAY button again will return an error. A good use for the STOP button is to free up bandwidth to display a stream's webpage or to make audio channels available temporarily to play a sound.
